Our IGN First for August is Outriders, the upcoming shooter RPG from People Can Fly. To kick things off, we thought we’d show some gameplay from a brand new aspect of the game: monster hunts. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/08/04/outriders-11-minutes-of-monster-hunt-co-op-gameplay-ign-first"] These side quests see you (and a group of co-op buddies, if you’d like to team up) track down and eliminate monsters in the world of Enoch. Hunts can be easily found while exploring combat zones; just keep an eye out for the half-eaten carcasses. From there you’ll be able to start the side quest and begin tracking your prey. Different areas provide different monsters. In the 11 minutes of gameplay above, you can see three hunts in action: Bigjaw, Moldfang, and the Oreyard Queen. These challenging optional battles don’t just pit you against the monster itself, but dozens and dozens of its underlings, too. Expect a tough battle, especially on the higher World Tier difficulty levels.
